This scholarship, valued at $5,000, is applicable towards full-time studies leading to a first undergraduate degree. All fields of study are eligible.

In Ontario , bursaries of $3,000 are granted to full-time undergraduate students who demonstrate high financial need.

Full-time students may receive a grant of up to $3,120 per year, and part-time students may receive a grant of up to $1,920 per year.

This scholarship, valued at $7,500, is dedicated to the field of Engineering. Applications are by nomination by deans of engineering only. Candidates must have completed the first year of an engineering program.

The C.D. Howe Scholarship program aims to assist residents of the Thunder Bay area. Candidates must have a minimum average of 80% in their last three semesters of studies. Winners may be eligible for a $5,500 scholarship.

Candidates for the CIBC Youthvision Scholarship Program must be enrolled in an approved mentoring program with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada. They must maintain a minimum of 60 percent average until and including graduation. The scholarship provides up to $4,000, plus paid summer employment with YMCA Canada.

FAAY is the scholarship program operated by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB). It helps corporations show their commitment to developing the individual capacity of young Aboriginal people by providing funds to help them stay in school and pursue higher education. High school students are eligible for bursaries of $750. Students in university, college, or a technical institute are eligible for bursaries of $2000-$4000.

The Garfield Weston Merit Scholarship for Colleges (GWMSC) awards program is designed to recognize outstanding college students who show a strong commitment to their field of study and are interested in making positive contributions to their communities.

The Canadian Merit Scholarship Foundation grants Loran Awards to talented young Canadians on the basis of character, service and leadership potential. A Loran Award includes four years of funding for undergraduate studies and a comprehensive enrichment program.

Millennium/Ontario Access Grants will cover between 25 and 50 per cent of your tuition, to a maximum of $3,000.

This organization is dedicated to raising funds to deliver financial assistance programs that provide the tools necessary for Aboriginal youth to achieve brighter futures.

The award provides some financial assistance to a student of Aboriginal ancestry enrolled in a Registered Nursing program, whose goal upon graduation is to work and provide assistance to those people living in an Aboriginal community or a remote community in Northern Ontario.

Terry Fox Humanitarian Awards, valued at a maximum $7,000 per year per recipient, are open to graduating secondary level students and those currently studying towards a first university degree or diploma in a Canadian post-secondary institution.

Award recipients must meet the following criteria:

• Involvement in voluntary humanitarian work.
• Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.
• Undergraduates studying towards their first university degree or diploma at a Canadian post-secondary institution in Canada.
• Maintain a satisfactory academic standing and continued involvement in voluntary humanitarian and community work.

Deadline is February 1st of every year.
